4. App

Secret · Privacy Policy

Secret is a personal privacy data management tool that runs entirely on your device, developed by Zhou Dequan. Core principle: your data stays on your device; the Developer cannot access it and collects nothing.

1. Information We Collect

We collect no personal information. There is no account system or registration; no names, phone numbers, emails or IDs are collected; no advertising, analytics or third-party tracking SDKs; no content is uploaded to any server; contacts, location, call logs, messages and other photos are never accessed.

2. Data Storage

All notes, credentials, categories and imported encrypted files are stored only locally in the App sandbox. Data is encrypted with AES-256-GCM; keys are derived from your password via PBKDF2-HMAC-SHA256 (120,000 iterations). The Developer does not hold your password and cannot decrypt your data. Forgotten passwords cannot be recovered.

3. Device Permissions

• Face ID / Touch ID (optional): used only for local unlock when you enable it. Biometric data is handled by iOS and never read or stored by the App.
• Photos and Files (on demand): the system picker is invoked only when you import files; selected files are encrypted locally.

4. In-App Purchases

Pro (com.mimi.secret.pro) is purchased through Apple's App Store. Payment information is processed by Apple and is not accessible to the Developer. See Apple's Privacy Policy.

5. Sharing and Third Parties

We do not sell, rent or share your data. The App integrates no third-party advertising, analytics, social or data-processing SDKs.

6. Retention and Deletion

You decide how long data is kept. You can delete items or spaces in the App, or erase all data via Settings → General → Erase All Data. Uninstalling the App removes all sandbox data.

7. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect children's personal information.

8. Changes

We will update the "Last updated" date on this page when the policy changes; material changes will be highlighted in the App or on this page.
